Chocolate-Dipped Twinkie Mummies

These are dangerous.

And completely irresistible.

And definitely not carrot sticks.

Consider yourself warned.

Start with a box of Twinkies (which normally contains 10, but somehow, we only had 6 in our box--now how did that happen? LOL).

Insert craft sticks and freeze them for about an hour. This helps with the dipping later.

Melt a package of chocolate chips and dip the Twinkies in, spreading the chocolate evenly.

Place them back in the freezer while you melt a package of white baking pieces.

Pour your melted white chocolate into a baggie and pipe strips on your Twinkies using a flat tip.

Add eyes with icing or candy.

You can eat your mummies cold, but they are So YuMmY at room temp.

  4. I don't even like twinkies. Insane I know, but I have a thing about the filling. However, I love chocolate, so your twinkies look very tempting!

  13. If you could find a box of Chocodiles, you could skip the first dip in chocolate (since they're basically chocolate-covered Twinkies anyway). Hostess snack cakes are my secret shame. ;)

  17. O M G I can't WAIT to make love bugs out of these!!! Perfect treat for the two cuties I watch after school! I'm going to use white chocolate to dip, maybe color some of it red for the 'segments' and pipe on wax paper the antennae to attach while the chocolate is still wet. Oh the possibilities of this idea!!! Thank you so much!!!
